About
I’ve spent 25 years in customer- and partner-facing engineering: three at Apigee, six at Google (APIs, Assistant, Android), and since 2022 at Futurewei, where I run partner solutions architecture. I built that team from zero, and we take partners from prototype to production, lately with AI agents. I also head Open Mobile Hub under the Linux Foundation. I’d rather show a prototype than a slide, so I keep building. Today I work on the part most “agent that pays” demos skip: who authorized it, and can you prove it? I lead agentic commerce on Multipaz, the OpenWallet Foundation credential library used in Google Wallet, and CredentAgent, an open-source consent layer for AI agents. I’m a first-cohort Agentic AI Foundation Ambassador. Outside work I race: ultramarathons, IRONMAN California, and Escape from the Rock.

Focus areas
What I’m building
Open-source SDKs that run on 800M+ devices, and the credential and payment layers AI agents need next. Mostly under the Linux Foundation.
The consent layer for AI agents. Before an agent does anything consequential (a payment, an age check, an access grant), it asks the wallet on your phone for proof: a verifiable credential held in secure hardware, sharing one fact and nothing more. Ships as an MCP App.
Proposed rendering A2UI from MCP tool results natively in goose desktop, so an agent can hand you a real form or card instead of a wall of text. Off by default, reusing the MCP Apps tool-call policy. Working Phase 1 prototype, in design review with the maintainers.
The host side of MCP Apps for JiuwenSwarm, openJiuwen’s 6K-star open-source multi-agent platform: extension negotiation, a double-iframe sandbox with per-app CSP, and user approval on every app-initiated tool call. CredentAgent is the app side, so this covers both ends.
On stage
From Android at Google to agents and verifiable credentials today. In September 2026 I took CredentAgent on tour: Geneva, Shanghai, and Amsterdam.
